I remember at a very young age seeing Placebo’s music video for “Pure Morning” airing on MTV when the song was released. Naive at the time, I shrugged off the video and didn’t know what to make of it (I was around 10 or 11 at the time, and this music thing was sort of new to me). It wasn’t until about 5 or more years later that I heard “Special K” for the first time and was completely blown away by the tempo, bassline, and overall catchy-ness of the song. Ketamine aside, I was hooked on this song and wanted to dive more into what the band had to offer. Had it not been for hearing that song, I don’t think I would have become the Placebo fan I still am today. The band was definitely my favorite in high school, and I still listen to them on a regular basis.
I now bring you “Special K” from the album Black Market Music.
I didn’t post the actual music video because of restrictions and sound quality.
