Last night, I had the opportunity to catch three great bands rolled up into one concert: Filter, Chevelle, and Bush. Today’s song of the day comes from the headlining band’s debut album, Sixteen Stone. “Glycerine” is the tenth track from the album and the fourth and final single released from Sixteen Stone. What’s notable about the song is that it’s performed by Gavin Rossdale on vocals and guitar and features cellos. It’s a deconstructed and more serene side of Bush that isn’t made too apparent in Bush’s catalogue until the release of the single “Letting the Cables Sleep” from The Science of Things.
It was really tough to decide which song to choose for today, as I had a few others lined up for the slot. It wasn’t until I really thought of which song got me interested in Bush when I was younger that made me make my decision (plus, hearing it live was pretty awesome).
