Depeche Mode held a press conference earlier today in Paris and officially announced a world tour that will start in Tel Aviv, Israel and matches the tour dates that were leaked yesterday.

According to Martin L. Gore, the band finished recording the new album last Friday.  The band also stated that 20 songs in total were recorded for the album and b-sides.

“It’s got a bit of a feel of Violator on some of the songs and a feel of Songs of Faith and Devotionon other songs,” Gore said. “It’s a bit of a hybrid of those two for me.”

During the press conference, Depeche Mode also unveiled an as-of-yet untitled track, but will likely be called “Angel of Love”, which does indeed have elements of Songs of Faith of Devotion blended into it.  Check it out below.

UPDATE: Here’s the press conference from this morning. Thanks for linking it to me, Marisa!
