Los Angeles-based alternative rock band, Beta Wolf, has released their new EP, Just Before Morning. The EP, released through Congregation Records, features five tracks produced and mixed by Fred Archambault (Avenged Sevenfold). The first single off the album “Just Before Morning” is co-written with songwriter Dan Wilson (Adele, Semisonic).
“The album is a combination of a ballad, a heavy song, and some mid-tempo tracks,” says Beta Wolf’s lead vocalist, Grant Arnow. “We wanted to make something that flowed consistently together. We focus on an album as a whole rather than on a single track.”
Beta Wolf is featured as Beacon Audio’s Band of the Week. “To put it simply, Beta Wolf writes great songs,” says Beacon. “Some bands write fast and hard tunes that leave your knuckles white on your steering wheel. Others aim to satisfy the softer, more tender side of your heart with love and lamenting ballads. Then there is Beta Wolf, who does both, because they can.”
The band, who recently had a television morning appearance on Charlottesville’s KYTX CBS 19, continues to make their way around the east coast alongside Daughtry on their 11-date run tour ending on August 15 in West Point, New York. They will return home to Los Angeles to celebrate the release of the EP with their hometown fans set for August 25 at The Viper Room.
Beta Wolf—lead vocalist and songwriter Grant Arnow, lead guitarist Sergio Ruelas, rhythm guitarist Devon Pangle, drummer Chester Lang and bassist Rocko McIvor—formed in 2010. For the past year, they have performed steadily in and around their hometown of Los Angeles in support of their first international album, Dark Days, which was released exclusively in Japan through JVC/Victor Records in October 2011 and climbed to No. 51 on the international charts.
