Listen to Popeska. This kid is going to explode.
This is only my second article for Electric Mohawk, so perhaps it is a little presumptuous of me to write an article about what music I think you need to be listening to. But that is too bad, because after his recent signing to Wolfgang Gartner’s reborn label Kindergarten, I believe it is only a matter of time before this 19 year old gets the recognition he deserves.
Still fresh to the scene and hailing from Atlanta, Popeska caught my eye about 5 months ago and I immediately fell in love with this unique style. Combining the grimy bass of dubstep with the excitement of Glitch-Hop, Popeska never fails to make me smile when I hear his music.

Until recently I was afraid that this work would go unnoticed. But seemingly out of the blue last week, Popeska announced that he was signing onto Kindergarten Records, the label owned by none other than Wolfgang Gartner. Gartner confirmed this in a recent interview saying, “I’ve got this kid signed called Popeska that nobody has ever heard of. He’s basically undiscovered but he’s going to be one of the next very big things.”
